Facts: Nectarines are a fuzzless variety of peach – they are not a cross between a peach and a plum as some people may think.  They tend to be smaller than peaches and have a smooth golden yellow skin with large red blushes on it.  They also bruise a lot easier than peaches so be careful!!  The word “nectarine” means “sweet as nectar” – obvious why that’s their name then!
